My name is Anthony Siciliano. I currently work in the office of Communications and Brand Strategy at Michigan State University. There I produce promotional videos and documentaries for the university that advance the “Spartans Will” brand.
However, being a video producer wasn’t my first choice for a career. In fact, it wasn’t my second or third choice either. I would have much preferred to be a college football star, owner of a local CD store or the lead singer of an 80’s new-wave band. But alas, I can’t run the 40 yard dash in under 5 seconds. CD’s are quickly becoming obsolete, and I was unfortunately born two decades late missing the new wave scene -- not because my voice isn’t good enough. As a result, I have been a video producer professionally at MSU since 2010, and as an intern from 2008-2010.
In between the start of my career and my internship, I worked as an Assistant Editor at Ahptic Film and Digital. While at Ahptic, I helped create content for the show “Titans,” which aired on CNBC.
In 2010 I graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Digital Media and Technology. I was a part of the student group MSU Telecasters, where I was Director/Producer of the sketch comedy show “SiDESHOW” for three years. During my run on “SiDESHOW” I was able to be a part of some amazingly funny sketches such as “West Sideshow Story,” “Pillow Fight Club,” and “Post It Newscast.”
During my career at MSU, I have been awarded 11 Michigan Emmy’s, 21 Telly Awards, 5 Pixie Awards, 4 Gold C.A.S.E. Awards, and 6 American Advertising Awards. While as a student at Michigan State University, I was awarded the Student Michigan Emmy Award. However, still no Heisman…yet.
